Monaco director Paul Mitchell has told Liverpool and Real Madrid that they must make “very aggressive offers” if they want to sign Aurelien Tchouameni.
The midfielder has been with Monaco since the start of 2020. He joined them from their Ligue 1 rivals Bordeaux.
The 22-year-old has already played 95 times for Monaco and he has featured eight times for France. He is considered to be one of the brightest prospects in Europe.

Liverpool are known to be admirers of Tchouameni but it was claimed on Sunday that he has opted to join Real Madrid.
The centre-midfielder is understood to be valued at £50m ahead of this summer. His current contract at Monaco expires in 2024.
After spells at Tottenham and RB Leipzig, Mitchell became Monaco’s director in 2020. He has insisted that an “important fee is needed” to get Tchouameni during this summer’s transfer window:

Elsewhere, Peter Crouch has argued that Liverpool forward Mo Salah should have been named Premier League Player of the Season.
He scored 23 goals to share the Golden Boot with Tottenham’s Heung-min Son, and also won the Playmaker Award for most assists in the league.
“It’s got to be Mohamed Salah, that has to be the general consensus,” Crouch said.
“The sheer volume of goals and assists and that relentlessness to be at his maximum. Looking at Liverpool, I absolutely love Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk’s the best around at centre half but Salah brings that extra edge to them every week.”
