May 21, 2022 – MLS NEXT Pro (MLS NEXT Pro) – New England Revolution II News Release

CINCINNATI – New England Revolution II (4-1-2; 15 pts.) are heading to Ohio where they will face FC Cincinnati 2 (1-6-0, 3 pts.) this Sunday, May 22. The MLS NEXT Pro match kicks off at 5:00 p.m. ET and will stream on MLSNEXTPro.com.

New England beat Toronto FC II, 1-0, last Saturday with Brazilian forward Marcos Dias scoring his first goal with Revolution II. Fellow Brazil native Michel notched the assist on the game’s lone goal. Goalkeeper Jacob Jackson recorded his third consecutive clean sheet, blocking the two shots he faced to lower his goals-against average to 0.83 on the season. The win was the team’s 20th under Head Coach Clint Peay and marked the 30th game played for Revolution II captain Jake Rozhansky.

Revolution Academy midfielder Jack Panayotou scored his first two professional goals including the game winner in second-half stoppage time, while Brazilian midfielder Ryan Lima tied the game in the 67th minute. Sunday’s game will mark the final regular season matchup between New England and Cincinnati.
