Liverpool star Sadio Mane puts stunning quadruple push down to major attribute Klopp has rarely had

Sadio Mane celebrates scoring for Liverpool

Sadio Mane has admitted that the strength in depth at Liverpool makes the Reds “push each other” more than it hinders certain players’ game time.

Mane has been on top form this season, scoring 20 goals in all competitions. He has also had a trophy-laden campaign, acquiring both the Africa Cup of Nations and the Carabao Cup so far.

The Reds are also on the verge of football history with the quadruple still in touching distance. If they manage to accomplish this, they will be the first team to do so.

Liverpool have gained strength in depth this term in all areas of the pitch after their injury-riddled campaign which saw Virgil Van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez ruled out for lengthy periods.

In the last few years, Jurgen Klopp’s men have been led by a dynamic trio in Mohamed Salah, Mane and Roberto Firmino. Recently, they have also acquired other top talent which has significantly bolstered their striking department.

Both Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz have been welcome arrivals to Anfield and Mane has spoken of how the newfound depth is spurring Liverpool on.

“Having these players just helps us,” Mane told Premier League Productions. “We have many games and Liverpool are competing in all the competitions.

“As a player, sometimes it’s also good to rest. [If] you see your teammate is doing well and scoring, it’s something good.”

Since arriving on Merseyside, Jota and Diaz have contributed to 32 Premier League goals. This showcases the impact the pair have had on Klopp’s team, despite still battling with Mane and Salah.

As the Reds have advanced into the latter stages of competitions this year, squad depth is something that is key to allow players to rest, Mane added.
