ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando Pride (0-0-0, 0 points) will open its 2022 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) regular season campaign on Sunday, May 1, set to host NJ/NY Gotham FC (0-0-0, 0 points) at Exploria Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET with the match available to stream on Paramount+ in the U.S. and internationally on Twitch.

“[Gotham is] a familiar opponent, of course, just having seen them and already played them twice so we’ve been working on how to be better from what we did the last game…We have players back from injury, so that’s going to be exciting to get some players back on the field. Jónsdóttir finished tied for the team-high in goals scored in the Challenge Cup along with Darian Jenkins, each with two. Four members of the Pride tallied an assist throughout the competition. Each of the Pride’s eligible players saw field time during the Challenge Cup outside of midfielder Viviana Villacorta, who was cleared just before the team’s final Challenge Cup match after a year-plus recovery from an ACL injury.

Finding the back of the net against the Pride last weekend, Kristie Mewis finished the Challenge Cup leading Gotham with two goals.
