Masta Comes up Clutch for Eddies

April 30, 2022 – Canadian Premier League (CPL) – FC Edmonton News Release

HALIFAX – Playing three matches in one week can be a very daunting challenge. Add in the cross-country travel, not once, but twice, and that makes it extremely tough.

FC Edmonton battled hard against Halifax Wanderers FC, but a tough second half led to a 3-1 loss, Saturday afternoon at Wanderers Grounds.

The loss caps off a hectic week for the Eddies, who played last weekend in Hamilton against Forge FC, came home to play top-ranked Pacific FC on Wednesday and then flew across the country on Saturday to face the Wanderers in their home opener.

FC Edmonton falls to 0-3-2 on the season, while the Wanderers improve to 2-0-2.

Striker Julian Ulbricht gave the Eddies a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute on a penalty kick, but Wanderers forward Cory Bent tied the match at 1-1 in the 17th minute.
