NEWMARKET STARTING PRICES
Small fields are a feature of Newmarket’s meeting today but Spreadex might still have set their STARTING PRICES index a little low at 27-29. The opening 5f fillies’ maiden features a field of unraced two-year-olds and could be ripe for an upset, especially as 5-4 favourite DRAMATISED, a daughter of Showcasing, might prove best on softer going. Mark Johnston’s 14-1 outsider of four AUSTRIAN THEORY could be in receipt of an easy lead in the 1.50 and this is the type of race his trainer has caused upsets in here before. Some of the other favourites are harder to oppose, especially YIBIR in the 3.35, but a couple of double-figure priced winners could see us cover the spread.
