Borussia Dortmund ‘will rival Manchester United for Sebastien Haller’ with the Germans looking for an Erling Haaland replacement – in what could be an early blow for Erik ten Hag and his massive Red Devils rebuild

Erik ten Hag hasn’t officially taken over as Manchester United manager yet but he could still be dealt an early blow in the transfer market.

Earlier this week, it was reported United were lining up the Ajax striker Sebastien Haller – who notoriously flopped at West Ham – as one of Ten Hag’s first signings when he becomes the new manager at Old Trafford.

But now The Sun report that Borussia Dortmund are also sizing up a move for the man who has scored 31 goals in 37 games for the Dutch giants this season.

Haaland is expected to complete a move to Manchester City worth £500,000 per week

Dortmund will almost certainly be looking for a replacement for Erling Haaland this summer. The most-coveted talent in Europe alongside Kylian Mbappe is closing in on a mega-money move to Manchester City and could sign a deal worth a staggering £500,000 per week.

Haaland is expected to leave Dortmund for £64million – the release clause in his contract – while Haller is expected to command a £35m asking price.
