Tottenham are seeking a new signing at the top of the club to assist Fabio Paratici, while a Newcastle star is closing in on a new contract – both in all the latest Transfer Gossip.

SPURS WANT NEW SIGNING UPSTAIRS

Tottenham are on the hunt for a new signing to work under transfer chief Fabio Paratici at the top of the club, according to a report.

Paratici moved to Spurs from Juventus last summer and quickly got to work exploiting his connections with the Serie A club. Indeed, he brought in former Juve defender Cristian Romero on a loan deal last summer.

Doubt remains over whether Conte will stay in his role. The 52-year-old is reportedly eyeing up the Paris Saint-Germain job on a two-year contract amid the threat of the sack for Mauricio Pochettino.

However, Levy wants to hand Conte as many as six new signings this summer. And he knows that a new addition alongside Paratici is key to delivering on his word.

As for who Tottenham are looking to sign, The Sun adds that a new centre-back is a priority.

Spurs will hope to be able to offer Champions League football next season, amid a battle with Arsenal for a top-four Premier League finish this term.
