“I fancied Minella Crooner for the Albert Bartlett and Aintree, but he didn’t run in either. Hopefully, he’s firing now. The case is easily made if you look back at his run at the Dublin Racing Festival.
“I thought he was making good headway in the race until a mistake two out. That cost him a few lengths at a really vital stage of the race and left him with too much to do. Going up to three miles should suit him well.
Punchestown Gold Cup (5:55) – MINELLA INDO @ 5/1 with Boylesports
“I’d give another chance to Minella Indo. I thought he ran a great race in the Gold Cup. He didn’t get a good ride [so] he’s a bit better than he showed there. Minella Indo beat the rest fairly well. Under a slightly more patient ride, I think there’s more in him.”
