Manchester United fans have taken to social media to voice their opinion over who Erik ten Hag should sign during the summer transfer window. 

The Old Trafford hierarchy will reportedly hand the incoming manager a £100million-£150m budget to acquire three new players. 

As a result, many of the Manchester United faithful have identified Frenkie de Jong and Aurelien Tchouameni as two potential players they would most like Ten Hag to approach.

De Jong – who joined Barcelona from Ajax in 2019 – has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford following the news of Ten Hag’s appointment. 

Spanish newspaper Sport have reported that Barcelona are open to selling De Jong for the right price this summer, as boss Xavi continues to reshape his team following the huge impact of financial restrictions due to the club’s £1billion debt. 

De Jong played under the Dutch manager during his time at Ajax. Ten Hag developed the midfielder and helped him attract interest from Barcelona.
