There appears to be a little life left in the relegation scrap yet after Burnley beat Southampton 2-0 at Turf Moor on Thursday.
The result took them to within a point of Everton, and probably caused a few nervous twitches at Leeds and Aston Villa too.
Survival looks out of reach for Norwich and Watford, but the battle to avoid that last relegation spot is starting to look like it could go down to a thrilling conclusion.

should be feeling pretty safe right now. The currently sit seven points above the relegation zone on 36 points with seven games remaining.
From here you’d have to say that Villa can only be architects of their own downfall. They are just four points from that magic 40-point mark and that should easily see them safe.
