Paulo Dybala compared to revered Tottenham figure, as pundit rules English rivals out of pursuit

A pundit has compared Paulo Dybala to a well-respected Tottenham figure, as transfer rumours surrounding the forward intensify.

Tottenham have regularly been linked with the Juventus man in recent years, and this summer may be their best chance to finally land him. Fabrizio Romano claims Dybala is pushing to leave Turin as a free agent.

He had agreed a new deal with Juve back in October, only for the Italian giants to change their terms recently. Dybala has been left angered by the decision and has no intention of staying.

Tottenham, Arsenal, Inter and Atletico are the four clubs aiming to sign the Argentine international later this year.

Juve, meanwhile, are reportedly targeting Mo Salah as Dybala’s replacement at the Allianz Stadium.

Former midfielder Don Hutchison has now explained why Tottenham are the most likely English side to capture Dybala. He also tipped the 28-year-old to take up a similar role as a former Spurs playmaker.

“Paulo Dybala is a really, really good player. A technical player,” Hutchison said (via The Spurs Web). “Tottenham, I think would be the best fit for him.

“It just depends if he is fit enough and can play most games in the Premier League.

“It’s a different ask compared to Serie A and he hasn’t played too many games for Juve this season. He has been in and out of the side. They can’t seem to build the team around him. Contract talks have broken down.
