The Maryland soccer teams will participate in a 5K run at Ludwig Field on Feb. 12, as the programs will do a “5K for $15K” after doing a “10K for $10K” at the inaugural event in 2021. A virtual event, supporters are encouraged to run, bike or walk wherever and whatever distance they can, but are not required to do so.

Supporters have the option to donate freely or donate as a sponsor of any of Maryland’s men’s and women’s soccer players. Any donation of support is greatly appreciated and 100 percent of proceeds will directly support the growth of youth programming throughout Maryland.

Donations to the event will support the children of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America in the greater Washington D.C. area and Baltimore, the Prince George’s County Boys and Girls Clubs and the Cherry Hill district of Baltimore.

“In conjunction with VOYCENOW, our women’s soccer program and Dream BIG, I’m excited to announce the second annual ‘Run for Equality’,” Maryland head coach Sasho Cirovski said. “We were thrilled with the success of last year’s event and the impact it had on our local community. “We are beyond honored and excited to run it back and host the second annual Run for Equality with our fellow Terrapins, this time including the women’s soccer team,” said Alex Crognale and Zack Steffen of VOYCENOW. “The impact the University and the community had on us has made us who we are today and we are grateful to be in a position to give…
