TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The No. 9-ranked University of Michigan women’s soccer team saw its season come to an end in a 1-0 overtime loss to No. 1-ranked and top-seeded Florida State in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament on Friday (Nov. 26) at FSU’s Seminole Soccer Complex.

The Seminoles (19-1-2) scored with 55 seconds left in the first overtime session, ending the Wolverines’ season. After nine minutes of overtime play and the match seemingly destined for a second overtime, FSU’s Beata Olsson slotted home a ball in front of the goal and gave the Seminoles a 1-0 golden goal victory.
