COLUMBUS, Ohio – Orlando City B (2-6-3, 11 points) dropped a 6-1 decision on Sunday afternoon to Columbus Crew 2 at Historic Crew Stadium. The match saw Nick Taylor score his first professional goal, while Orlando City Academy product Favian Loyola made his MLS NEXT Pro debut.


The Lions continue their four-game road trip next week, traveling to take on FC Cincinnati 2 on Saturday, June 25 at Northern Kentucky University Soccer Stadium.

The home side took the lead with Alexandru Matan able to find enough space in the box to slot a pass to Noah Fuson, who was able to take a touch to the right before firing a shot toward the far post,

20′ Marco Micaletto (PK) – CLB 2, OCB 0

The Crew doubled the advantage just four minutes later, with Marco Micaletto converting from the penalty spot, tucking his finish inside the left post.

25′ Jacen Russell-Rowe (Mohamed Farsi) – CLB 3, OCB 0

Columbus added a third with Mohamed Farsi sent in behind the Lions defense on the right flank off a through ball from the middle, able to find Jacen Russel-Rowe at the center of the area with a ball across the box for the first-time finish.

The Crew notched a fourth, applying the pressure to the Lions defense to force a turnover, with Fuson finding Russell-Rowe on the break, who was able to send a shot past OCB goalkeeper Javier Otero into the back of the net.

Columbus continued after the break, this time with Isaiah Parente sending in a corner, finding the head of Ryan Telfer in the area for the finish.

The Lions got on the board with Alejandro Granados finding Nick Taylor on the left flank, who was able to dribble into the area before creating enough space to fire off a right-footed shot straight into the far post.

84′ Isaac Angking (Isaiah Parente) – CLB 6, OCB 1

The Crew regained their five-goal lead, with Isaac Angking getting his head on a bouncing loose ball in the box to tuck it into the back of the net.
