Eden Hazard is being labelled the ‘next Gareth Bale’ in Spain amid reports suggesting he wants to see out the final two years of his Real Madrid contract.

Hazard, 31, has failed to live up to his £98million price tag since completing a move to Madrid from Chelsea in 2019, making a mere 65 appearances and struggling to find his best form due to injury problems.

The Belgium winger has only started seven LaLiga matches this term after falling out of favour under Carlo Ancelotti, and Los Blancos chiefs are now desperate to offload him.

As a result, he is now drawing comparisons with fellow outcast and team-mate Bale, whose contract will finally expire this summer after enduring a similar standoff in recent years.
