Huskies Fall In Semis, 3-1


BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. – No. 19 Washington was unable to come back from a three-goal deficit, falling in the Big Ten tournament semifinals to No. 1 Ohio State on Sunday at SeatGeek Stadium.
 
Conner Leber made his first start in the Purple and Gold. He created multiple chances for the Huskies on throw ins, but the Dawgs were not able to capitalize in the first 45 minutes.
 
The Huskies outshoot the Buckeyes 6-3 in the first half with Leber (2) and Caden Buckley (2) leading the way. No shots for either team went on goal.
 
Ohio State drew a foul in the box in the 59th minute and converted the penalty kick. The Buckeyes added another a minute later and again the 72nd minute for the 3-0 advantage.
 
Peter Kingston recorded his team-leading sixth goal of the season in the 77th minute to cut OSU’s lead to two.
