FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – FC Cincinnati 2 dropped a 4-0 decision Sunday night against Inter Miami CF II at DRV PNK Stadium.
Inter Miami CF II opened scoring in the 15th minute before doubling their lead right before halftime. A pair of second half goals for the hosts gave the contest its final scoreline.
FCC 2 (3-8-0, 9 points) had their two-game win streak snapped with the loss. Inter Miami CF II improved to 5-7-1 (16 points).
Mario Penagos, acquired on loan from Sacramento Republic FC on Friday, made his debut in the Starting XI and played the match’s opening 45 minutes.
Nick Markanich, Harrison Robledo and Zico Bailey all entered as second half substitutes to begin the second half. All three were on the bench for FC Cincinnati’s 1-1 draw on Saturday night at Philadelphia Union.
Markanich led all FCC 2 players with four shots.
FCC 2 return home to face Orlando City B on Saturday, June 25 at NKU Soccer Stadium. Kickoff from Highland Heights, Kentucky is set for 1 p.m.
