SEATTLE, WASH. – Following a pause in MLS action due to an international break, Seattle Sounders FC (5-6-1, 16 points) returns to the pitch tonight to take on Vancouver Whitecaps FC (5-7-2, 17 points) in the club’s first Cascadia match of 2022. (7:30 p.m. PT / FOX 13, Prime Video, Sirius XM FC, 93.3 KJR FM, El Rey 1360 AM).
Sounders FC sits 11th in the Western Conference with 16 points in 12 games played this season, while Vancouver is in 10th place with 17 points from 14 matches. Seattle is currently riding a 14-match unbeaten streak against Whitecaps FC in all competitions, with a 15-7-8 advantage all-time in MLS regular season play. This marks the 147th all-time meeting between the two clubs across all competitions dating back to 1974, with Seattle holding a 71-50-25 advantage.
Following tonight’s match, Seattle stays at home for a nationally-televised matchup against Western Conference-leading LAFC on Saturday, June 18 (12:00 p.m. PT / ABC, 93.3 KJR FM, El Rey 1360 AM).
