June 13, 2022 – United Soccer League Championship (USL)Indy Eleven News Release

INDIANAPOLIS – The month of June will be a busy one at Indy Eleven’s home of IUPUI Michael A. Carroll Stadium despite the lack of games on the schedule, as crews have begun the installation process for a new FieldTurf surface at the venue. This significant upgrade to the CORE model of FieldTurf will benefit Indy Eleven as well as the IUPUI Jaguars men’s and women’s soccer programs.

“We are pleased that our tremendous partners at IUPUI will be replacing the turf field at Michael A. Carroll Stadium this month and in a timeline where we can benefit from it during the second half of our 2022 season,” said Indy Eleven President & CEO Greg Stremlaw. “We want to greatly thank IUPUI for their collaboration in making this happen as well as the USL Championship for allowing us to modify our home schedule to ensure this important project could be completed.”

The installation process will be completed in time for Indy Eleven’s next scheduled home match on Saturday, July 2, when Indiana’s Team will host its “Indy-Pendence” Celebration game against The Miami FC. The special 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff at Carroll Stadium will be followed by a post-game fireworks display; more details on the evening – including “Bike Night at The Mike” are available at indyeleven.com/promotions. Tickets for Indy Eleven’s Fourth of July Weekend match – and all 11 remaining USL Championship regular season contests through early October – are available starting at just $15 and can be purchased online at indyeleven.com/tickets.

Built from FieldTurf’s 20+ years of industry-leading innovation and unmatched expertise, CORE, the first multi-layer dual-polymer fiber ever, rewrites the playbook for sports turf, reinvents the playing field, and redefines the player experience. CORE FieldTurf is the trusted choice for everyday use at the practice facilities of 11 Major League Soccer clubs and is the playing surface utilized at five MLS venues – Atlanta United (Mercedes-Benz Stadium), Charlotte FC (Bank of America Stadium), New England Revolution (Gillette Stadium), Portland Timbers (Providence Park), and Seattle Sounders FC (Lumen Field).
