Juventus have offered former Manchester United star Paul Pogba a three-year contract with basic net salary worth around £135,000 a week, plus bonuses.

Further talks between player and club are expected next week before the 29-year-old makes his decision. 

The French World Cup-winning midfielder has left United as a free agent upon the expiry of his contract this summer, meaning Juve can sign him for nothing.

The Italian giants had signed Pogba, also on a free, in 2012 when he failed to agree terms at Old Trafford before the Premier League side signed him back for £89m – only now to see him walk away without receiving a fee again. 

That salary would put him in Juventus’ highest bracket of earners, but given they are not paying a transfer fee, they are likely to feel it represents value for money. Pogba is also thought to be keen to be reunited with his former boss…
