Lights Add Point After Being Down Early in the Score

Las Vegas Fight a Tight Battle on the Road against Monterey Bay FC

May 15, 2022 – United Soccer League Championship (USL) – Las Vegas Lights FC News Release

MATCH SUMMARY:

Oakland struck first in just the third minute of play off of a shot from the top of the box from Óttar Karlsson. Las Vegas was able to level the score courtesy of defender Alex Lara’s first goal of the 2022 season with a header off of a Daron Iskenderian corner kick.

This game marked the first time in the 2022 USL Championship season that Daron Iskenderian, Nathan Ordaz and Chase Bromstedt were in the Lights FC’s starting lineup.

The combination of injuries and having their next game on the road in a short week obligated Las Vegas head coach Enrique Duran to rotate his players and this gave the opportunity to young players to see game action.

SCORING SUMMARY:

1-0 Oakland, Óttar Magnus Karlsson – 3rd minute

1-1 Las Vegas, Alex Lara – 24th minute

NEXT HOME MATCH:

Lights FC returns to Cashman Field on Friday, May 27th when they’ll face El Paso Locomotive FC on “$1 Juice Night with Jose Canseco!”.
