Pundit makes compelling case for surprise Liverpool decision

Liverpool midfielder James Milner

Paul Robinson has explained why Liverpool would be unwise to let James Milner leave as a free agent this summer.

Milner’s contract expires in the summer with his stay at Anfield potentially coming to an end. Since signing from Manchester City at the end of his previous contract, Milner has become a fan-favourite during his time at the club.

“Milner is an example to all young, aspiring footballers,” Robinson told Football Insider.

“He shows you how to look after yourself, keep fit and play at the top level for your entire career.

“I think he will sign another contract. I think he is capable of playing for at least another year.
