A report has revealed how much Antonio Rudiger will earn after the defender signed a four-year contract with Real Madrid.
Rudiger became a target for the likes of Barcelona and Bayern after entering the final six months of his Chelsea deal. But it was Real Madrid who began leading the race for his signature.
And the Spanish giants soon agreed terms with Rudiger, allowing him to move to the Bernabeu as a free agent this summer.
Of course, the transfer could have dire consequences for those at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea players are reportedly ‘gutted’ about the exit and could follow Rudiger out of the club.
The Athletic reveal Rudiger has now signed his Real contract, which will last until June 2026.
He has completed a medical and looks set to form an important part of Carlo Ancelotti’s defence next season.
Rudiger’s release clause is worth £342million. And he will take home a significant wage while playing in La Liga.
He will earn between £7.7m and £8.5m in Madrid. That equates to between £148,000 and £163,000 each week.

The Athletic claim this is significantly more than what Chelsea could give the 29-year-old. However, the Blues’ wage offer is not disclosed.
Now their ownership troubles are pretty much over, Chelsea officials can look at potential replacements for Rudiger.
Pau Torres, Jules Kounde and Wesley Fofana are among the players under consideration. None will come cheap though, especially as Chelsea have received no fee for Rudiger.
At Tuesday’s press conference, Thomas Tuchel was asked about new owner Todd Boehly and the potential for new players arriving this summer.
“In the moment not. It’s a positive sign and it feels like it will come to an end and give us possibilities to act but at this very moment it is not like this,” he said.
