May 9, 2022 – United Soccer League One (USL1) – North Carolina FC News Release

CARY, NC – North Carolina FC defender Christian Lue Young, midfielder Jaden Servania, and forward Oalex Anderson have been named to the USL League One Team of the Week for Week Six of the 2022 regular season, the club announced today.

“I’m happy for these three to be recognized for their performances on Saturday,” said Head Coach John Bradford. “It’s a well deserved recognition for Chris, Jaden, and Oalex and a great reflection of our entire group that was determined to get a result on Saturday. I’m sure that each of them will continue to build on their solid play and get even better as the season goes on.”

Lue Young earns Team of the Week accolades following a standout performance against FC Tucson that saw the defender record the third highest passing score of the weekend and win five of seven attempted ground and aerial duels. Lue Young also recorded five interceptions and four recoveries and clearances, bolstering the NCFC backline to secure three points on the road.

Likewise posting a stellar performance in Saturday’s contest was Servania, who notched his first goal of the regular season to equalize for the North Carolina side and later drew the penalty kick that decided the game winner. The Birmingham, AL native created four chances throughout the game, also completing 89% of his passes.

Anderson joins Lue Young and Servania on the Team of the Week after adding the assist on Servania’s equalizer and later registering a goal of his own in the final minutes of stoppage time to stun FC Tucson at the death. It is the first time in Anderson’s career that the forward has collected an assist and a goal in a single match.
