Forward Madison Announces Ticket Program Helping Dane County Foster Families

Marvel Mayhem Family Night: Everything You Need to Know for Saturday's Match

May 9, 2022 – United Soccer League One (USL1) – Forward Madison FC News Release

Forward Madison is excited to announce that we will be partnering with the Dane County Department of Human Services to donate 8 tickets per home match to be utilized by local foster families. Foster parents and families are often faced with tough sacrifices in order to provide foster children with the care they deserve, and the club believes that their tremendous efforts be recognized.

This wouldn’t have been made possible without help from Dawn Douglas-Mellom, who is an Out of Home Care Consultant at DCDHS. Dawn has been taking the time to reach out to local families and is assigning them to Forward Madison’s remaining home games. “This is a wonderful opportunity for our foster families,” Douglas-Mellom said. “It can be costly to attend events when you have foster children in your home in addition to your own children. This could mean a total of 8 children if the foster home meets requirements. Soccer is an activity that can be enjoyed by a wide range of ages, and is something that many children participate in. We appreciate this gesture for Dane County Foster Families. Thank you for caring about our children and youth.”
