SEATTLE, WASH. – Ahead of next Wednesday’s second leg of the 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Final, Sounders FC players are in the community Friday supporting the Seattle Kraken and Seahawks. After a thrilling 2-2 draw in Wednesday’s first leg against Pumas UNAM in Mexico City, the Rave Green are now preparing for the second leg on May 4 at Lumen Field (7:00 p.m. PT / FS1, TUDN, 93.3 KJR FM, El Rey 1360 AM).
Cristian Roldan and Albert Rusnák are attending tonight’s Seattle Kraken match against the San Jose Sharks at Climate Pledge Arena, with the players set to lead Climate Pledge Arena in the Kraken’s “Anchors Up” moment. Both players have started all seven of Seattle’s SCCL matches this season, with Roldan leading the tournament with five assists.
Nicolás Lodeiro and Raúl Ruidíaz will be in attendance in Renton at the Seattle Seahawks Day 2 NFL Draft Party this afternoon, supporting the team’s four selections in the second and third rounds. Lodeiro scored two late goals in Seattle’s draw Wednesday in Mexico City and is tied for second in the tournament with four goals. Ruidíaz, the club’s second all-time leading scorer, has one goal in five SCCL appearances in 2022.
With the club previously announcing that lower bowl inventory has officially sold out for Wednesday’s second leg at Lumen Field, seats in the 300 level of Lumen Field are still available via https://www.soundersfc.com/tickets/ccl-final. Fans are encouraged to secure their tickets for this historic match, with one of the largest crowds in Seattle soccer history expected to be on hand.
