Ronald Araujo will not be joining Man Utd or Chelsea this summer after signing a contract that will keep him at Barcelona until 2026.
The Uruguayan has put an end to speculation with his previous deal set to expire at the end of next season.

It was reported last month that Man Utd made an approach to sign him whilst his future was up in the air.
However, Barcelona confirmed on Tuesday that Araujo has committed his future to the La Liga club.
A club statement read: “FC Barcelona and the player Ronald Araujo have reached an agreement to renew his contract until 30 June 2026. The buy out clause stipulated is set at €1bn.”
After putting him on their summer shortlist, Chelsea will have to look elsewhere with Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger poised to leave on a free transfer at the end of 2021/22.

The Blues have been linked with Sevilla centre-half Jules Kounde and were reportedly close to signing him last summer.
Amid rumours linking the Frenchman with Man Utd and Chelsea, Steve McManaman has claimed that “there’s a reason” he has not left Sevilla yet.
“I’ve seen him a lot. He and [fellow Sevilla defender] Diego Carlos are linked with a lot of clubs every single year,” McManaman told HorseRacing.Net.
“I think the pair of them could easily go in the end. A couple of years ago they were worth £40m, £50m, £60m and then they struggled to a certain extent.
“Kounde is a French international and he’s young. He will attract attention. The way defenders in Spain play always means they do.
“But even though he’s only 23 years old, he has been around and has been highly thought of for the past couple of years. However, nobody’s plumped for him yet, and there’s a reason.
