Mohamed Salah has offered his strongest suggestion yet that he is heading towards the exit door at Liverpool.
The Egyptian has developed into one of the best players in the world since joining from Roma five years ago, a bonafide Kop hero and a crucial cog in Jurgen Klopp’s side which is currently on course for an unprecedented quadruple.
Salah’s future, however, appears surprisingly unclear with the impasse over a new contract still to be resolved after months of negotiations.

Speaking to FourFourTwo, the 29-year-old revealed remaining at Anfield was far from a foregone conclusion but insisted money would not be a motivating factor should he decide to leave.
‘I don’t know, I have one year left,’ he said.
‘I think the fans know what I want, but in the contract it’s not everything about the money at all. So I don’t know, I can’t tell you exactly. I have one year left and the fans know what I want.’
Regardless of the timing of his departure from Liverpool, the two-time African Player of the Year admitted leaving Anfield will not be easy.
