Chelsea have received a rare piece of good news regarding Aurelien Tchouameni, though they won’t have a transfer for the the French ace all their own way, per a report.
The Blues’ off-field turmoil sees them currently unable to sign or sell players this summer. They are also unable to negotiate new contracts with their current stars, thus putting the futures of their impending free agents in serious doubt.
However, once the club’s takeover has been completed, normal service will resume. By all accounts, that is expected to take place prior to the summer transfer window opening.
Chelsea could therefore be free to spend as they wish under new ownership through the summer months. And per transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, they have received a timely boost in their quest to sign Tchouameni.
The Monaco and France midfielder, 22, has developed a reputation for being a midfielder destroyer in Ligue 1.
Tchouamnei regularly leads both the tackles and interceptions charts in France. His combative displays have also seen him become a regular for Didier Deschamps in the national side.
Indeed, Tchouameni notched his first senior France goal in the recent friendly win over Ivory Coast. His exploits over the past few years have predictably seen him emerge on the radars of several elite European clubs.
Links to Real Madrid to ultimately succeed Casemiro had emerged. However, per Romano, there is no agreement with Los Blancos in place.
