MAC Hermann Tropy Semifinalist — Senior Alia Martin was named one of 16 semifinalists for the MAC Hermann Trophy, given annually to the United Soccer Coaches Player of the Year in men’s and women’s Division I soccer. She logged nearly 1,800 minutes on the pitch this season while adding two assists. Martin’s inclusion makes her the third Wolverine in program history to earn a semifinal nod, along with Abby Crumpton (finalist, 2002) and Nkem Ezurike (semifinalist, 2013). Three finalists will be announced on Dec. 8, while the finalist banquet will be held at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis on Jan. 7, 2022.

Hillary Beall (Oct. 5)

Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week — Senior Hillary Beall has been named Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week for her performance in U-M’s 1-0-1 week, highlighted by a 2-1 victory over Purdue on Thursday (Sept. 30) and a wether-shortened scoreless draw against Indiana on Sunday (Oct. 3). Against the Boilermakers, Beall stopped a pair of shots and followed with a season-best six stops against the Hoosiers for her third solo clean sheet of the season. Beall ranks No. 20 nationally in goals-against-average (.543) and ranks second in the Big Ten in the category. This is her third Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week nod, last earning the accolade on Feb. 23 of last season.
