BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women’s soccer was defeated 2-0 against No. 9 Rutgers on Thursday at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
KEY MOMENTS
• The Hoosiers had the first great chance by either team, as Anna Bennett fired a shot just wide in the fourth minute of the game.
• Rutgers scored the first goal of the game in the 22nd minute from Amirah Ali.
• In the 40th minute Rutgers had a scoring chance but Oliwia Wos cleared it for the Hoosiers.
• In the 51st minute Rutgers added to their lead with a second goal, scored by Frankie Tagliaferri.
NOTABLES
• The Hoosiers drop to 9-4-4 on the season and 3-3-3 in the Big Ten.
• With the win Rutgers claimed the outright Big Ten regular season championship.
• Caitlin Arbuckle made her first start of the season and tallied six saves in the match.
• Avery Lockwood and Jen Blitchok each posted two shots for the Hoosiers.
