SEATTLE, WASH. – After a 2-1 loss at rival Portland Timbers on Friday, Seattle Sounders FC (10-14-3, 33 points) travels across the country for a midweek matchup against Orlando City SC (11-10-6, 39 points) tonight at Exploria Stadium (4:30 p.m. PT / FOX 13, Prime Video, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). Seattle has never lost to the Florida side, holding a 4-0-1 record in the team’s previous five matchups, outscoring Orlando 12-4.
The matchup proves critical for Seattle, who is fighting for a playoff spot, currently sitting in 10th place in the Western Conference with 33 points. Orlando City sits in fifth place in the Eastern Conference with 39 points.
Following tonight’s matchup, Sounders FC returns home to face Houston Dynamo FC on Sunday, September 4 (6:00 p.m. PT / FOX 13+, Prime Video, 93.3 KJR FM, El Rey 1360 AM), kicking off a month of September that sees the Rave Green play three of their four matches at home.
