Austin, TEXAS – Austin FC midfielder and Designated Player Sebastián Driussi was named to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Week for the second-consecutive week and the fifth time this season.
Driussi began a two-goal comeback for the Verde & Black when he converted a penalty kick in the 63rd minute of Austin’s match against Orlando City SC, his team-leading eighth goal of the year. He also completed 43 of 47 passes (91 percent), won three (3) duels, and had two (2) successful dribbles.
Driussi has four (4) assists to go with his eight (8) goals, with his total of 12 goal contributions the most of any player in MLS through 13 weeks of the season. The Club is unbeaten (7-2-0) in its last nine (9) matches in which Driussi has scored. He leads the team in successful dribbles (19) and co-leads in key passes (15) and tackles (10).
