Blue Devils to Host DC Power FC in Exhibition


DURHAM – The Duke women’s soccer team will now host DC Power FC of the United Soccer League (USL) Super League in an exhibition match on Aug. 8 at 5 p.m., inside Koskinen Stadium in Durham. 
 
The DC Power FC squad is a new club based in the Washington, D.C., area with a scheduled debut in the USL Super League in August.  The USL Super League is a Division I professional women’s soccer league based in the United States with an official launch in August of 2024. 
 
After hosting Furman in an exhibition match on Aug. 5, the Blue Devils will close preseason play against DC Power FC.  Both exhibition contests will be free admission to fans. 
 
Duke opens the 2024 campaign Thursday, Aug. 15 at Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio.
