Four Premier League clubs are in contention for the transfer of French attacking midfielder Christopher Nkunku, claims a report that also sheds light on the plans of RB Leipzig.
Nkunku has been enjoying an extraordinary season in the Bundesliga from an attacking position. Previously a central midfielder, he is now thriving further up the pitch. Able to operate as winger or a number 10, he has scored 15 goals from 27 league appearances.
There have also been 11 assists, showing the variety of ways in which Nkunku can cause problems for opponents.
As a result, the former Paris Saint-Germain star has been attracting plenty of interest. A Premier League move would be possible due to the interest of four clubs.
According to ESPN, he is on the radars of Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal.
Man Utd interim manager Ralf Rangnick knows Nkunku from his previous career with the Red Bull group. When he becomes a consultant in the summer, he could advise the Red Devils to make a move for him.
Rivals City came up against him in the Champions League earlier this season. They too could firm up an interest after witnessing first-hand what he can do; a hat-trick against them certainly will have caught the attention.
Arsenal are long-term admirers, having tried to take him before he joined Leipzig. Liverpool, meanwhile, have also been put into contention recently as their attack continues to evolve.
