Forge FC announced Wednesday, the club has signed Senegalese midfielder Elimane Cissé to a multi-year contract. The club welcomes back the two-time Forge FC Canadian Premier League (CPL) Champion back to the roster ahead of the 2024 CPL Season.

Cissé, 28, has returned to Forge FC after leaving the club in 2022 for Moroccan side Union Touarga. During his first stint with Forge FC (2019-21), the dynamic midfielder appeared in 74 matches recording 3 goals and 4 assists across all competitions playing a decisive role in helping the club win 2 CPL Titles (2019, 2020). The native of Senegal earned a reputation as one of the CPL’s most versatile players having consistently played multiple positions in the Forge FC system. Cissé joins Forge FC from Senegalese club Diambars de Saly Dourbel and brings extensive experience on the international stage having represented Senegal 12 times at the senior level and 19 times at the youth level, including as a semi-finalist at the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand.
