January 4, 2024 – Major League Soccer (MLS) – Inter Miami CF News Release
Inter Miami CF announced today that it has acquired $625,000 in General Allocation Money ($500,000 in 2024 and $125,000 in 2025) and a 2024 international roster slot from the Portland Timbers in exchange for defender Kamal Miller. The Club will also retain a percentage of any future transfer for the defender if he is transferred outside of MLS, and may receive an additional $150,000 in GAM if Miller meets certain performance metrics.
“We would like to thank Kamal for his contributions as an Inter Miami player on and off the pitch, including helping us win our first-ever title, and wish him all the best in his future,” said Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director Chris Henderson. “This trade allows us to continue positioning ourselves positively as we aim to further strengthen our squad with our sights set on more titles next season.”
Miller joined the Club in April of this year from CF Montréal, and went on to register 35 appearances for the team, including seven starts in the Leagues Cup, in which he helped Inter Miami earn its first-ever title.
