Four Alabama Soccer Players Named to SEC All-Conference Teams


BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the second consecutive year, the Alabama soccer team had three student-athletes named to the First Team All-Southeastern Conference Team as Gianna Paul, Felicia Knox and Gessica Skorka earned the honor, the league office announced Sunday. Additionally, Nadia Ramadan was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team after a standout rookie campaign.

Alabama has now had 17 First Team All-SEC honorees, while Ramadan became the 19th Crimson Tide rookie to earn the nod. Overall, UA has had 64 selections for all-conference honors.

  • One of the top midfielders in the country, Felicia Knox has tallied six assists this season, ranking her fourth in the SEC
  • Over her career, she has tallied 31 assists ranking sixth nationally
  • She ranks second on the team in points with 14 after adding four goals to her season resume
  • Additionally, Knox ranks second in the conference and 23rd nationally in game-winning goals, scoring the winning shot against then-No. 17 Memphis, Mercer, Auburn and LSU

  • The leading goal scorer and point holder for the Tide, Gianna Paul has netted shots in eight different games this season while adding an assist for 17 points
  • Paul scored a goal in three of the Tide’s four ranked games, finding the back of the net against No. 17 Memphis, No. 3 North Carolina and No. 23 Georgia
  • An offensive threat, Paul ranks third in the conference and 34th nationally in shots on goal, averaging 3.63 a game
  • Additionally, Paul ranks fifth in the SEC in both goals (8) and shots on goal per game (1.47)

  • Despite playing on the backline, Gessica Skorka ranks second on the team in assists with four this season
  • She has tallied three assists in SEC play, which includes assisting the game-winning goal versus LSU and Ole Miss
  • With the backline, she has shut out seven teams this season while limiting 10 teams to three or less shots on goal
  • Her performance on the field has earned her a starting position in UA’s lineup in every game for the past two seasons

  • Nadia Ramadan has had an immediate impact with the Tide, scoring four goals in her freshman year to rank second on the team in total goals
  • She also added an assist in her first-ever collegiate game for nine points on the year
  • Ramadan scored against three conference opponents, netting a goal against Kentucky, Auburn and LSU
  • In conference play, she has found the back of the net on three occasions, ranking 10th in the conference…
