GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — U.S. Soccer today announced its roster for the first U-19 Men’s Youth National Team camp of 2022. MNUFC Homegrown goalkeeper Fred Emmings is among the top players in the country and will join the camp.

New U.S. Under-19 Men’s Youth National Team head coach Marko Mitrović will lead his first training camp from April 22-May 1 at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif.

It’s the first programming for this age group since the global COVID-19 pandemic shut down the sporting world in March 2020. The event will take place concurrently with the U-20 MYNT training camp in Carson, as U-19 players may be pulled to train with the U-20 team.

Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2004 are age-eligible for the 2022-23 U-19 MYNT cycle. Eight players called into camp were born in 2004 and 26 born in 2005. All 34 players at this training camp are age-eligible for this summer’s 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship in Honduras, which serves as qualification for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2024 Olympics.
