Kulvik and Rogers Earn United Soccer Coaches All-Region Honors


COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland men’s soccer’s William Kulvik and Max Rogers earned United Soccer Coached All-Region honors. Kulvik was named first team all-region, while Max Rogers’ was named all-region third team.

Kulvik finished the season playing and starting in 19 matches. Kulvik was second on the team with minutes played with 1,691 and went the full 90 minutes in all but two matches. Kulvik finished the season with two goals and two assists. Kulvik helped lead a back line that kept opposing offenses in check all regular season. Kulvik earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year honors, while also being named first team All-Big Ten.

Rogers started in every game for the Terps during the season, finishing with four goals and a team-leading nine assists. His nine assists are the most for a Terp since Jake Rozhansky in 2017. In Maryland’s 3-0 win against then No. 8 Wisconsin, Rogers assisted all three goals for the Terps. It marked the second consecutive season a Terps player had three assists in a game, with Luke van Heukelum picking up three assists in Maryland’s win over Villanova on Oct. 10, 2023. In his first season with the Terps, Rogers earned second team All-Big Ten honors at the end of the regular season.
