111 Hawkeyes Named Fall Academic All-Big Ten – University of Iowa Athletics

IOWA CITY, Iowa – One hundred eleven University of Iowa student-athletes have been named to the 2024 Big Ten Fall Academic All-Conference team. The list includes student-athletes from men’s cross country (7), women’s cross country (12), field hockey (15), football (47), women’s soccer (20), and volleyball (10).

The football and women’s soccer team’s totals were both school records.

The Big Ten Conference recognized 2,001 fall sports athletes. The list includes 144 field hockey players, 772 football players, 163 men’s and 250 women’s cross country runners, 185 men’s and 317 women’s soccer student-athletes and 170 volleyball players.

Among the fall Academic All-Big Ten honorees, 102 had unblemished GPAs, including 12 Hawkeyes. The group included cross country’s Miles Wilson, Alli Bookin-Nosbisch, Grace Bookin-Nosbisch and Lillian Schmidt, field hockey’s Lauren DeRose and Harper Dunne, football’s Aaron Graves, women’s soccer’s Sofia Bush, Kassidy Lanthier, Sonya Mehta and Keira Smyser and volleyball’s Claire Ammeraal and Anna Davis.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, as verified by being on the official squad list as of November 1 for fall sports, who have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
