Unbeaten Streak Extended To Four

SAN DIEGO – No. 24 Washington men’s soccer battled to a one-all draw at San Diego on Wednesday night at Torero Stadium.
 
The Huskies move to 2-1-2 on the season and unbeaten in the last four matches.
 
Jadon Bowton recorded two huge saves in the first half, with the biggest on coming with three minutes left to send the shot above the net.

The teams came out of the half knotted at 0-0, but the Huskies broke the deadlock.

Peter Kingston put the Huskies on top with his first goal of the season in the 54th minute. Dating back to last season, UW has scored at least one goal in seven consecutive matches and 12 of the last 13.

 

San Diego answered with a goal of their own in the 61st to level the match at one.
 
Kingston and Richie Aman led the team with a pair of shots each. Rhys Gourdie and Sean Sent also recorded a shot.
 
Up next, the Huskies return home for a cross-town battle against No. 11 Seattle U in the annual Fewing Cup on Monday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. and streaming on B1G+.
