– Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer begins conference play this weekend, with six league matchups on the schedule, as well as four non-conference games.
California, SMU and Stanford play their first conference games in any sport this weekend. No. 5 Stanford plays at No. 2 Clemson at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, Sept. 6, in a rematch of the 2023 NCAA Quarterfinals, which was won by the Tigers on their road to the national championship. Cal travels to NC State at 8 p.m. ET on Friday on ACC Network, while No. 22 SMU hosts No. 8 Pitt at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 6.
Seven ACC teams are ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, including three in the top 10. Both totals are the most of any conference: Clemson (2), Stanford (5), Pitt (8), North Carolina (12), Louisville (15), Syracuse (20) and SMU (T22).
ACC Network features a doubleheader Friday, with Duke at Virginia at 6 p.m. ET, followed by Cal at NC State at 8 p.m. ET.
