Baron to Compete for Colombia in 2024 Olympics


TUCSON – Former Wildcat Angela Baron is set to represent Colombia in the 2024 Paris Olympics. She is one of two Arizona soccer players to be part of the Olympics alongside United States assistant coach Twila Kilgore (Kaufman).

Baron played for Arizona in the 2022 season, competing in 12 matches and making starts in all of them. She rarely left the field, playing 985 minutes and tallying five shots and an assist. Baron was called up to the Colombian National Team in 2022 after competing on the nation’s U20 national team.

Baron additionally represented Colombia at the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
