Colorado Rapids complete Rafael Navarro signing from Palmeiras



The Colorado Rapids have permanently signed striker Rafael Navarro from Brazilian giants Palmeiras, the club announced Thursday.

The 24-year-old has been on loan at the club but has now committed to making the permanent move to Denver through the 2027 season.

Navarro has logged 11 goals and three assists in 20 appearances this season, playing a key role in the Rapids’ resurgence under Chris Armas.

Emma Hayes names U.S. roster for 2024 Olympic Games



New United States boss Emma Hayes has named her full roster for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris this summer.

Most notably, legendary forward Alex Morgan was left out of the squad.

“I’m disappointed about not having the opportunity to represent our country on the Olympic stage,” Morgan said. “This will always be a tournament that is close to my heart and I take immense pride any time I put on the crest. In less than a month, I look forward to supporting this team and cheering them on alongside the rest of our country.”

Weston McKennie linked to FC Cincinnati



According to reports in the United States, FC Cincinnati is willing to pay up to $15 million for Juventus and USMNT midfielder Weston McKennie.

The Athletic reported earlier in the summer contract talks broke down between McKennie and Juventus, and the midfield man could be on the move.

Moïse Bombito subject to European interest after Copa América showing



The Colorado Rapids man has impressed while on duty with Canada at Copa América, resulting in interest from abroad.

According to the Athletic, Ligue 1 side Lyon saw a bid of $4 million rejected by the Rapids.

“I haven’t heard anything more than interest, Rapids boss Chris Armas said. “I’ll leave it up to them (the Rapids front office) to figure out what’s the magic number and how much real interest there is.”
