Chelsea have expressed interest in Nottingham Forest defender Murillo.

The 21-year-old has earned rave reviews since his arrival from Corinthians last summer and played a crucial role in Forest’s Premier League survival.

Enzo Maresca‘s Chelsea squad currently includes six centre-backs but the Blues are one of a number of club keen on Murillo.

Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona feature among his European suitors.

The Brazilian was signed for around £15million but Forest can expect to recoup a significant profit if they were to sell the centre-half this summer.

According to the Telegraph, Murillo is rated at a price of around £70m by the Forest hierarchy.

Forest were deducted points last season after being found guilty of breach Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

The Midlands club are at risk of breaching financial rules again next season if they don’t sell one of their top stars, with the 30 June deadline looming.

In addition to Murillo, Morgan Gibbs-White and Taiwo Awoniyi are among the players likely to attract interest from rival clubs.

Meanwhile, defender Moussa Niakhate, who featured 21 times in the Premier League last term, is closing in on a switch to Lyon.
