Liverpool and Arsenal are keeping tabs on the Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo Goes.
A report from the Spanish publication Sport via SportWitness claims that they have already contacted Real Madrid to find out about the Brazilian and it remains to be seen whether they decide to make a move for him at the end of the season.
The South American attacker could cost around €100 million in the summer and he has a contract with Real Madrid until 2028. The Spanish outfit are under no pressure to sell him and it is fair to assume that Liverpool and Arsenal will have to pay a premium if they want to sign him.
Rodrygo is versatile enough to operate as a centre-forward as well as a winger. He could prove to be a quality acquisition for Liverpool who need to prepare for life without Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian will be out of contract in 2025 and he will need to be replaced adequately. The Brazilian could replace Salah’s goalscoring and creative output in the coming seasons.
Rodrygo would be a solid addition to Arsenal, Liverpool
Rodrygo has 13 goals and eight assists in all competitions this season. He is likely to improve further with coaching and experience. The Brazilian has the attributes to develop into a world class attacker.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are in need of attacking reinforcements as well. Gabriel Jesus has had a mediocre season and the Gunners must look to bring in more quality in the final third if they want to win major trophies like the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
Rodrygo will certainly help them improve in the final third with his goalscoring ability and creativity.
It will be interesting to see if Liverpool and Arsenal are willing to sell out in excess of €100 million for the Brazilian attacker.
