San Diego Wave FC announced today the club’s theme nights for select home matches during the 2024 regular season. The club’s 2024 calendar features seven theme nights, including the return of several fan favorites.


March 23 vs. Kansas City Current: Home Opener presented by Trust & Will

The 2024 theme night calendar launches during the Wave’s Home Opener on March 23 at 7:00 p.m. PT versus Kansas City Current. The Home Opener, presented by Trust & Will, will welcome back fans to Snapdragon Stadium for the club’s third season, with the first 15,000 fans in attendance receiving a NWSL Shield pennant to commemorate the club’s 2023 season.

June 28 vs. Chicago Red Stars: Pride Night

Dedicated to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, Wave FC’s annual Pride match is a fan favorite, and this year is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 28 at 7:00 p.m. PT. Matchday elements centered around Pride and the celebration of equality are planned, with more details, promos and stadium activations to be announced leading up to match day.

August 24 vs. Angel City FC: Rivalry Match presented by Kaiser Permanente

Returning from the Olympic break, the Wave will head straight into Rivalry Match, presented by Kaiser Permanente, when the club hosts Angel City on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 1:00 p.m. PT. In addition, Battle of the Clubs is back and scheduled for this big game! The competition is open for any club and whoever brings the most people to Snapdragon Stadium wins. September 1 vs. Washington Spirit: Military Appreciation presented by PenFed Credit Union

The Wave will honor the service and sacrifice of military service members and their families on Sunday, Sept. 1. Wave will highlight local service men and women in San Diego, as well as including plenty of on-field recognitions and surprises.

September 28 vs. Portland Thorns: Latino Heritage Night presented by McDonald’s

Wave FC celebrates its third annual Latino Heritage Night presented by McDonald’s. Join the club for a night full of culture, music, food, and fútbol on Sept. 28 when the Wave host the Portland Thorns. Additional details will be released leading up to the match.

October 13 vs. Houston Dash: Kids Day

Following the success of last season’s Kids Day, Wave will celebrate its young fans with a day set to feature a host of special activities and entertainment…
