WINNIPEG, MB. – Valour FC today announce that the club has signed German/Greek defender Charalampos (Haris) Chantzopoulos to a contract.
Chantzopoulos, 29, joins Valour FC from Kokkolan Pallo-Veikot (Finnish Second Division), where he spent the past four seasons, tallying 15 goals and six assists in 111 appearances.
“With the signing of Haris, we add quality and experience to our back line,” said Valour FC Head Coach & General Manager Phillip Dos Santos. “He’s aggressive and can help the team see the game forward with his passing ability.”
Before joining Kokkolan Paalo-Veikot, Chantzopoulos spent time with Sacramento Republic FC (USL), totalling one goal, one assist and 2,025 minutes played in 31 appearances.
In total, the German/Greek defender has 250 professional appearances spanning across a ten-year career.
